Dr. Murphy Grotewold grew up in Gowrie, IA, graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.S. in Biology and then moved to Mankato, MN for an undergraduate degree. He received his doctorate in optometry from Indiana University in 2005 and was accepted as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He was a member of the Minnesota State Board of Regents for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Minnesota and is a Distinguished Service Award recipient of the American Academy of Orthopedics. Dr. Murphy Gro Tewolds, MD, M.D., holds a PhD in Optometry from the University of Indiana and has been an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at North Minnesota Medical Center since 2005.
His hobbies include playing video games, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and spending time with his family and two dogs.
